As part of this weeks' focus on PvP, we have a "deep dive" on Arenas. We learn about the background of the Slaughterdome, the benefits of the shared respawn system and a little detail on gear rewards. Head over to enjoy the details and a few fine screenshots from the arena.
David "Scooter" Bass announced yesterday on the Official Forums (apologies for the delay in posting!) that beta weekend (and open beta) participants have the chance to earn special goodies - in the form of Mystery Boxes - just by logging on. While details of the specific contents of the boxes will be forthcoming, for now Scooter teased us with this post...
Fans of PvP rejoice for our time has come for some official coverage by Carbine - not only was the Battleground and Arena DevSpeak released this week (it's been in our Media Library for a couple of days, but linked below for your convenience) but Carbine have now announced a schedule of PvP-related content for next week.
And if that wasn't enough, they've gone and published an article on the first Battleground - Walatiki Temple - that is available from L6. The article discusses some of the changes made in response to beta feedback as well as an overview and some basic strategy.
It's finally here - the day you can really throw money at Carbine Studios.. and they'll accept it! Pre-orders are now available directly from NCSOFT (for the full retail cost) or via retail partners (listed on the Pre-order Page) for variable cost.
Show your support - and secure your pre-order items (and beta weekend access) by pre-purchasing today!
While we all know that pre-ordering tomorrow (Wednesday 19th) will guarantee access to the upcoming Beta Weekends, what will you do if you can't afford a purchase this week? Well, it seems Carbine have thought of everything and issued over 40,000 Beta Keys to various gaming press sites (although the access is level capped to 17).
Run, don't walk, and grab your key for the weekend from one of these fine outlets and we'll see you on Nexus (for a little while) from Friday...
