It may be Thursday (Thursday is the new Wednesday!) but Carbine have served up a tasty update on our favourite beastie, Metal Maw. Not only do we learn some of the design specs for the beast (Level 6, 15 man, open world encounter) but also details on how they designed and refined the creatures abilities.
This weeks' WildStar Wednesday is much more than meets the eye - along with a bevy of new screenshots and interesting bits of information about the games' design philosophy there is also a nice new chunk of info about the Settler Path (see our Wiki for basic details on the Path System and Settlers).
We're going a little technical this week, delving into some of the coding and concepts behind the WildStar UI - codenamed Apollo. For this, we're joining with Lead Client Engineer Jon Wiesman who'll be giving us a little background!
This week we return to our favourite fan-created beastie - Metal Maw. Not only do we have a new animation video we also have the background story for the monster - how and maybe why it was created by the Eldan as well as some tantalising hints at abilities we haven't seen yet!
They may have been mentioned in brief in last weeks' WW but this weeks' instalment focusses directly on the enemy factions in the Algoroc region - introducing new races, factions and their myriad objectives for coming to Nexus. As well as further new screenshots!
Hey, look! It's Wednesday! And... if you saw last week's WildStar Wednesday, I'm sure you heard Jeff Kurtenacker mention a new zone in the video. It might even have piqued your interest and made you wonder what this new zone is all about. Right? Well, wonder no more: this week, we're given the formal introduction to Algaroc! You might want to take a good look at some of the screenshots - we get a first glimpse of a couple of new alien species, and there is a male Aurin somewhere!
