It's like Christmas today, football from 1pm to 12am.
Packers and Bengals, LETS GO!!
The older I get, the less I enjoy watching a multitude of games. A few and highlights? Sure, but I just feel like I have wasted the whole day if I try to watch all, or even a majority, of the games these days.
An Ohio State fan that also likes the Bengals and Packers? There is no accounting for taste.
That's why there is the RedZone Channel.
You're probably a Michigan fan or an SEC fan.
For college, UVA. Yesterday's game was painful to behold. In the NFL I pull for San Francisco, should be a great game tonight, and New Orleans, in that order.
I would root for Michigan over Ohio State, if forced to choose, but am far from being a fan of either.
My house is all Football on Saturdays. Hubby was soooo excited for last weekend college football kickoff weekend - told me I HAD to buy stuff to grill for last weekend "'cause Football!!"
so - Woo Pig Sooie and Gig'Em Aggies!
(we don't watch much pro-football here...we're in the south, you got college football or college football!)
These are my favorite teams and I will be rooting for them all season long.
NCAA - University of Oregon Ducks(I live in Oregon and attended U of O)
NFL - San Francisco 49ers(I grew up in California and always been a Niners fan)
This could be the year for both of my favorite teams to win Championship games!
What is all this talk of this so called ''football'......
AFL all the way. Going for the Dockers and them looking at possibly landing in their first ever Grand Final!
American football, not soccer.
I know what sport is being talked about
I Just noticed you are from Australia... aren't you worried that the game will be banned in your country because of high impact violence and animal cruelty?
Oh you are one of these who believes our laws are that strict? you would be seriously mistaken. AFL is and always will be a sport played in our country.
Well, every time a new batch of games comes out there is always one that is banned or has to have a special version made just for Australia. I have an old friend who lives in Melbourne and he has complained about this quite a few times over the years.
Special version made just for Australia? lol? we don't live in China.
You obviously don't know of the rating laws that passed here then, they now have R18+ ratings for games so there are no issues there.
And if your mate in melbourne is complaining about it still perhaps he is living in the past? because that certainly isn't an issue here.
I can't remember the last game he complained about but he is in the military so we haven't been in contact for a while now due to his job.
Anyway, this Sunday... GO 49ers!!!
Football, yes. It's about that time.
Disappointed in last week's Packers-49ers game but I'm glad to see the D respond much better to the 49ers. That said, the '9ers played better ball overall and deserved the win. The Packers, fortunately, were clearly not at their best and have a lot of improvement they can make. I'm not so sure about the '9ers.
Also sad the Bengals lost, but they are a bit of an underdog team and did well against Daaaa Bears. We'll see what happens.
Yet another disappointment with the Redskins' loss (big RG3 fan here) but the Eagles made some big changes it seems and RG3 really managed to make the game competitive in the 4th quarter. Like the Packers, I think there's a lot of room for growth with the Redskins and RG3 which I look forward to.
I'm an NFC North fan so I didn't care too much who won Lions vs. Vikings but damn, the Lions need to fix their penalty problem. They can be a playoff team if they could just stop shooting themselves in the feet.
I am, however, satisfied with the Broncos' trouncing of the Ravens. Good performance on Manning's part.
Not a college ball fan though.
Looking forward to next week's Packers-'Skins game. Bengals and Steelers looks to be good too.
WOOT! Oregon beat Tennessee, today 59 - 14.
