That would be favortiZm
Unfortunately, we have to say no to this since one correction would open a can of worms which eventually sees rewrites of all flavours.
One invalid haiku will not cancel out any additional haikus you sent, however.
Updated original post with your prizes!
Hahaha you got the concept right, just the technical side's a little off - but put refrigerator in the middle and you're golden
Oh, and also out of curiosity:
And how to disable those *twitch* emotes? (so I can see this : p instead of.. this ) Didn't see an option for that in account settings.
I forgot to add my address, so I resent the same haiku with the address included.
Common sense foretold
one mistake to0 many now
is fail tomorrow
There is a long(ish) story about how I took the moniker Zap-Robo (which is a contraction of a Star Trek Play by Email RPG character name I ran over a decade ago - Zaphod Theodore Robotnik) - if you catch me on IRC I'll explain the whole shebang! But yes, the Zaphod did come from Hitchikers Guide (but the Robotnik was not from Sonic!)
And unfortunately, the emotes aren't user configurable - apologies!
The competition is now closed (as of midnight Eastern, last night). Judging will be taking place this week.
Hurry up and judge! I'm on the edge of my seat
Ladies and gentlemen (and Protostar Clones) - Granok of all ages, lend me your ears (no, serious, chip them off - I want a prize too!)...
Our second competition has been hard fought, with your erstwhile Team Mod sifting through (what felt like) hundreds of syllables. It took us a week of voting, and sifting through the, quite frankly, marvellous entries but in the end three rose to the top.
So, without further adieu we give you your winners...
First Prize Winner: Evion
Floating high above
Misjudged the Loftite's power
Oh look, a minefield
Taking inspiration from the abundance of mines and Loftite in Algoroc, coupled with the anti-gravitic properties of the mineral, we get this humorous little haiku above a giant leap gone wrong!
Second Prize Winner: dpi209
Robot in the sand,
I had to go and touch it.
Damn, so many bugs!
This composition refers back to the original cinematic trailer where Buck of Research Team Alpha manages to activate an Eldan artefact that begins to pour out a horde of robotic bugs!
Third Prize Winner: JarNod
Lying here, watching
Starfall, Granoks celebrate.
A toast to freedom
Our final winner is making reference to the more recently announced holiday of Starfall for The Exiles - conjuring up images of a Granok sitting back with a beer, watching the fireworks in the brief lull in the fighting.
Congratulations to our winners - your custom title is already active and your prize delivery will be arranged as quickly as we (and Carbine Studios) are able to do so!
Congrats to the winners!
Edit: I'm amazed and honored to have made it second in this competition. Truly, a masterpiece won - never would have thought...
Ah my goodness! Thank you so much! My coworkers are wondering why I'm running around work with a huge grin! This is so awesome, thank you! Also, just want to give a big thanks to Jeremy Gaffney since it was his story that inspired the haiku.
I love the other pieces that won too, they're wonderfully evocative, especially the bugs. I imagine that is exactly what is going through the explorer's mind in the cinematic. XD
All the congratulations, guys. The competition was rough this time, let me tell you - but I think we settled on worthy winners! Enjoy your prizes! ;D
Grats to all the winners
Congratulations and shinies to all the winners! Well deserved!
YES! I needed a hat!
congratulations to the winners!
