It's now 2 years old, so I'm looking to upgrade it when the new AMD or nVidia come out with their 8970 or 780 GTX.

I haven't updated in years, I will when the specs come out for this game. When I built this PC it was actually quite fast for the time and expensive, now it pales in comparison.

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit (Was Windows Vista)
    Pentium Core 2 Duo 3.0Ghz
    4G memory
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS 512 (2M video memory)
    Dual Blu-Ray/HD-DVD player/recorder
    LG 24" Widescreen LCD display

Haha :D Insane! I know right?
You know what's sad though? lots of games don't support crossfire, it's either that or there's a problem with my crossfire setup. For example, in WoW I got half the FPS I'd get when using 1 card only, so in other words: it was better to use one card. The performance increase overall wasn't really worth the second card in all honesty, one HD Radeon 7950 is more than enough to hold up against any Ultra settings of any game out there.

I basically ran into the same problems with my Nvidia Geforce GTX 470 cards in SLI setup. That is why I removed one card. My advice: don't bother with SLI or Crossfire, it's just not worth the money and trouble.
