The game launches on the 30th, who else is in? If you're up for it post your info here, maybe we can group up. :) My character's name is Kurik, handle is @Kuriklein91, and I'm rolling on the Mindflayer server for now.

I wasn't really keeping tabs because I thought "neverwinter eh", but that looks really cool. The setting is my only problem with it.

Unfortunately it's in closed beta at this time. A few sites and people have been giving out keys though, I would watch for them if you want to get in.

Looks cool for some people but i'm more of the cartoon looks like WoW and Wildstar, so i won't be trying Neverwinter even though i've played it from Neverwinter 1 till now ;)

But happy Beta gaming to you!

BAH! Curse has already given all of theirs out....not that my laptop could run the game anyway

Have fun in beta for those who got in.

Let us know if it's any good :). I was kinda turned off by the tackiness of one of the trailers they released, but am willing to give it a shot if the game's actually decent.

I believe it will work no matter what region you are in, there is only one server.

The game looks pretty cool. I was planning on playing it until WildStar is out, or at least WS beta. I have been so unlucky to not get in the first beta and now I can't get in the second because I am too late and can not find any keys. Eitherway, I am looking forward to playing it, beta or release. Cleric all the way!

Ahh...I'm still getting used to this. Maybe I'm just really weird or overly picky. I have never played an MMO with targeting like this, and not only that, but it really is showing it's age. XD I don't know. I'll try. But I'd almost rather just go back to playing Guild Wars 2 over this while I wait for WildStar. :(

So I got a key and gave it a spin.

I actually wrote a very long post, but decided that it was a bit too mean to post in full. :p

THEN I decided I'll list all my issues with the game, anyway!

    Pros:
+Targeting system felt very cool and dynamic.
    +Combat felt quite action-y
    +Some nice character customisation options...
    +Quest-tracking system

    Cons:
    -...not enough face customisation options
    -Surprisingly subpar art
    -Cringe-inducing voicework
-Certain aspects of combat are clunky, ruining its potential
    -Boring quests
    -Crashes very often

Long story short, combat felt like it had potential (the lack of tab targeting felt very liberating and made combat dynamic), but crashing every 5-15 minutes killed it for me.

For all the flak Guild Wars 2 gets, I think it did a LOT of things right, including putting a lot of effort into making their 'quests' fun, often just by having each quest completable in multiple ways.

Neverwinter also feels like it could use a fair bit more polish as a whole. I'm not sure I buy "its only Beta" as an excuse; this is a beta weekend so I would imagine that release isn't more than a couple months away. Guild Wars 2 by contrast had an AMAZING beta. So if Neverwinter is in this state at this stage in its development, I don't have high hopes for the release version. Like Fate Flyer, I may just stick with Guild Wars 2. Or, as I do at the moment, just stay on this forum. :p

Game \ combat feels stiff, clunky. I am not having any crash issues like you are. I agree with your pros and cons other then the crashing. Feel a bit sorry for the people that paid the $200 founder. I do like the cleric class though, very easy to solo. I am not a fan of this type of graphics, I need cartoon looking games for some reason. All in all it will be an OK free to play game.

I don't believe I will stick to this game. Other that being rooted for most of the time I don't feel sucked in to the world.

currently before Wildstar I will be playing Gw2, sim city, HotS and marvel heroes.
