They do have primary stats. It's on the class page.
I remember them saying only that they want to change the milestone system because it was too gear based(stats were only coming from gear and thus your build was gear and LAS). They also stated they want to make it more choice based so my guess is they'll give us possibility to arrange the stats somehow outside of gear(with gear being only a "bonus" not related to milestones or simply helping in unlocking them).
It may be good to move this to a new thread though, as we're going a bit offtopic...

Someone holding basically the same things can be seen at the end of the new devspeak. Looks like what we thought were paddles are more like claws. Makes me think we are getting another melee-ish class.
There's also a chua with a giant rifle at the end of the devspeak. But yah, pretty much all but confirmed on the medic and engineer with "shock paddles" and the giant gun respectively.
They did take down the CBT to change up the milestone system. The reason was because it didn't feel personally customizable and progression based during levelling. So, they could have simply scrapped it, or added in a "talent" sort of thing to compliment the milestones.
At max level, it really wouldn't have mattered, because you change your character anyway, and the "progression" is solely gear based there anyway.
Ewww the shock paddles are gross. I wanted a paladin type class that could heal and melee and this is what I get? Shock paddles... Couldn't I get a big comical syringe or gun or big bone saw or flame thrower or chainsaw arms? At the very least could the paddles look more like brass knuckles? What about an arm healy cannon thing? Come one Devs, here is some inspiration:

Keep your paladins, I don't want them. They're too goody goody anyway, all that lawful goodness, makes me want to puke. On the other hand have you seen the shiney golden armor Esper healers give out? Yup...
Also, dunno if you noticed in the devspeak that they had a warrior with a chainsaw sword, so... there ya go pretty much.
Another one right at the end, missed it at first Medic on the left, Engineer on the right.
Sounds like they'll have more info about them soon either way. I'd like to see some more gameplay from all of the classes personally. This devspeak seemed like it showcased a bunch of new abilities.
This is not a medieval game man... But if you think, medics are the modern version of Paladins! The concept is almost the same: save and protect people! Melee attacks and heals! But we dual wield instead of two-hand! It's cool too!

Bleh, I might just do that if there's any more "I will save all the mans because my gods are the righteous ones and your beliefs are all wrong!"

to be hoenst the medic looks to be a palidan esque class. Shock paddles = lightning maces, and i can see them being more short range and damage mitigation heavy.
I told you guys that the medic class would be lame! XD
I actually think this shock paddles stuff could be interesting. It sounds lame and it might even look lame for now but Carbine might be able to come up with some pretty slick weapon designs.
I also think all of this new juicy info indicates that we are nearing the reveal of the final classes. Hold onto your panties, gentlekids!
