Happy birthday, Freddie.
Well, since @Team_WildStar is back to their desks (you *did* figure it out, didn't you, Robeardo?)
Only one song comes to mind. A catchy little ditty to help motivate our Carbine Team, at their efforts.
With much love, and voracious impatience, from your Rabid Fans.
*hangs head in shame*
I have no cool music videos to share as I have been listening to the Dungeons and Dragons podcasts that the Penny Arcade guys are a part of. (I just started playing, and listening to them is making me feel better about sucking so bad.)
Listening to: http://www.djbluecore.com/Music/DJ Bluecore - Candyshop V.21 - The Freebie.MP3
There is hours of free music at http://www.djbluecore.com/downloads.html
Does Blue Stahli rock? Hell yes!!!!
Buy his stuff! http://www.fixtstore.com/category/41
Shotgun Senorita? Really? I am disappoint, Pont. Very, very disappoint.
It's old, but it's what I'm learning on guitar this week. I went to iTunes yesterday and learned there are 150 different versions in the iTunes store!
This was the song I listened to after my second deployment. And now that I'll be leaving again in February, I just listened to it again. Good stuff. Every time.
Actually been listening to the Soulchild remix of 19-2000 on repeat for a bit. Gets me grooving.
Also really digging the new David Guetta release.
Still researching "House of the Rising Sun". This is the oldest known recording. 1937, Georgia Turner, collected by Alan Lomax. Alan Lomax later combined these lyrics with "extra verses" by a fellow named Martin for inclusion in his "Anthology of American Folk Music". The Lomax version became the foundation that American and European performers built on when they recorded it.
The Animals, of course, have the most famous version. They made millions. Georgia Turner made less than $700 total in royalties, and those only in the last decade of her life.
It is pretty much the happiest/funnest collection of sounds ever. *nod*
And now for an amazing guitar riff!
Inspired by a very random conversation in chat.
(Probably should warn that if you're not old enough to watch Silence of the Lambs, you're not old enough to watch this video.)
