    Hey all,
Im getting very exited waiting on this game! Since theres not much info on what the game has to offer in the end game, i thought it would be cool to make a thread: to sit and dream about ur favorite features, that u really would like to see !
... And maybe hope a wildstar dev fairy saw it and quickly put it into the game before launch if it already wasnt there!

My favorite feature idd like to see was: Player made bounty's
Would work along the lines: U could create a bounty with a reward in gold or items for the return of players head. Maybe have some bounty board where u could pick them up as a quest so killing the player would award a head as a drop.
Maybe as settler u could make ur own personal bounty signs to put up where ever u wanted to create some dynamic player driven content. it could easily be expanded to add other objectives to do instead.

But thats just what idd like. Let me hear what u guys are dreaming about :D

What I'd like to see in the game more than anything else?
    ...
    Some nice looking coat costumes.
By the sound of this one french interview I came across, it seems costumes are gonna be a thing, and not "attached to gear" or something, though that might be incorrect- So more than anything I just want some nice coats, especially one with some fur on it.
But uh, beyond my costume desires which hardly constitute new content..
    Hmm..
Uh. I'm pretty braindead, well, I guess things like a hairdresser mentioned in that one other thread would be all kinds of great. I guess lots of jumping puzzles too, love doing them. And uhhhh.. yeah I dunno, just as idealized as possible character configuring I guess, including outside starter.
/Totally contributed all sorts of wonderful stuff to this thread ikr.

    I'd love a bounty system.

    I'd also like Mini games

    Fishing

Crafting that allows us to "sign" our work. If I am a chef in a game I don't want to make a cheese burger and everyone else make Cheese Burgers too. I want to make Bacon Chilli Cheese Burger. Then Call it "Shino's Baco-Chilli Burger " . Or Something

The only way to make a bounty system work is to have the loser have meaningful loss, And people dont want that.

Otherwise, People will share and manipulate rewards as i outlined in the threads listed above.

Speaking of bounties, this is an idea my friends and I came up with when we were design our own MMO several years ago (on paper)...you know...like everyone has done. :)

Players can post a bounty on another player in their capital city at the court house. The player posting the bounty must deposit the amount at that time. This way, payment is handled through the game system and not player to player to avoid any issues.

To go after a bounty, the hunter must have a bounty hunter's license. Then, the hunter can select which bounties he wants to go after and receive a copy of the warrant thus giving him legal right to collect the bounty. Multiple people can get copies of the warrants and go after the target.

When the target is killed, the hunter receives proof of the kill (such as a body part for DNA confirmation). The hunter submits proof of the kill via some telecom device (this is a scifi setting...tablet, etc would work) to receive credit and the reward. At that point, all other copies of the warrant are nullified.

It's just something I always thought would be fun to add to a pvp game.

A similar thread to this one over at wildstarforums.com has a concensus on Trains. TRAINS!!!

The "Frontiersland" theme of the game lends itself to using trains as some sort of mass transit system. Think Deeprun Tram in WoW but better!

Trains could also be used as a motif in PvP or PvE.

This is going to be complexly off topic but i kind of outlines some of the fantastic ideas people can imagine.

I remember back when Fallen Earth was still owned by its creator company and people were talking about how to implement fast travel in this post apocalyptic open world (think fallout).

And the idea of the rail system was brought up by the fans, A rail system spanning multiple zones that is maintained by the players, Ie people would bring coal or other such minerals to build and maintain he rail system.

Of course a rail system in the wasteland was a big deal so the idea was also proposed to "build it"
In effect it would of probably worked out something like the gates of AQ from wow where the whole community could get involved (god i would love something like that in wildstar)

Unfortunately both ideas just came to pass and were never implemented but i still think fondly of the ideas.

bounties are not just as simple as having bounties. even if it costs something to make a bounty it can be abused by high end guilds for example putting bounties on other players just because they are part of a competing guild. unless there are consequences for putting a bounty on someone who doesn't deserve a bounty (like a jedi hunting you down and camping your corpse) then people will abuse the bounty system to make life hell for people that want nothing to do with it. unless there is a system where you are hunted by the "law" for abusing the bounty system ... but I don't know how that would work.

if there was a "GM" that decided whether or not bounties would be applied, that would make sense, but I don't see that happening.

there is already a system they talked about, but it wasn't a complete bounty system I don't think? Don't remember now.

Don't get me wrong, I think a bounty system could be really awesome, but it's not just as simple as enabling people to create bounties at the drop of a hat. at the very least a 1 week cooldown or something.

This could go along with that 50 pg discussion about griefers ganking lowbies!
If a lowbie gets ganked by the same players enough times they can put in a bounty on them and everyone that accepts the bounty will get a periodic ping of the enemy on their map and vice versa.

What a fun game of cat & mouse to start up, kill a couple lowbies then try and stay alive and kill all the bounty hunters that come after you:devilish::ninja::D

One of my favourite games has a system in place where if you are PVP killed, you can file an indictment against a player. This is a thing that you have to buy, that you use after you've been killed if you decide that you have been killed in a dishonourable way.

One of the factions in the game is essentially focused entirely around bringing justice to people who have built up a large number of indictments against them. Essentially, they use an item and they are sent to the game world of the player with the large number of strikes against them.

Something similar could work in W*, though MMOs tend to bring in a slightly less mature audience than Dark Souls PVP does. The system does rely fairly heavily on people not abusing it.

If the indictment is a consumable item that needs to be bought it could help prevent people spamming it every time they're killed in a PVP battlezone, for example. If the indictment itself has a value people might use it more sparingly.

Not sure what kind of reward system could be put in place, but this could be a way to make regular gankers into a more appealing target.

Also for some reason now I'm thinking back to the good old days playing Diablo, going to the forums and putting a bounty on various characters I was playing to make things more interesting.

Came up with some really convoluted reasons for why I wanted these people (who were me) dead. It was pretty fun.

I think bounties could work if, as somebody else suggested, there was a number of in game calculated senerios that would make you eligible for a bounty.
    1. After numerous infractions of killing low lvl characters would flag you for eligibility.
    2. Camping respawn points which you would log so many player kills around a spawn point in a period of time.
    3. Vast calculatable differences in gear lvl kills
    4. Killing a person but starting after they have reached 10% health from NPC's
    5. Reaching a predetermined # of player kills (Say 50) in Open world PVP only granting a title like Scourge of the Dominion or Tyrant of the Exiles.

The game could easily track this behavior , count them as achievements on the goal of obtaining the title "Most Wanted", and after enough infractions you would become eligible for a bounty. Then someone would have to actually front the cash for it and pick you out as a noticeable target. Then you could be warned that the bounty is out by mail. It would reset only when a licensed hunter picked up the warrant and got you. Then everything would reset.

You could make a system that rewarded the Bounty for staying alive for so long while beign confined to a certain area ? Also the Hunter would get equally rewarded when completing the bounty. Simple really when you think about it. In my mind a bounty system would work like this:

    1. A player who wants to be hunted signs up on a planet, to become hunted.
    2. A player that wants to collect the bounty signs up and are given a bounty if one is present, not knowing who the hunted is beforehand, that way you cant fool the system into giving your buddy as a target or vice versa.
    3. The hunted is now notified that the hunt is on, and that leaving the planet/zone whatever will faulfit the reward, and give the hunter the reward if doing so.
    4. If the hunter fails, the stackes goes up on that player, and when he signs up for beign hunted the rewards are larger! Think about it you could have a whole ladder system going between who is the best hunter or hunted person ? That should make people take effort in participating! The wanna be "bad guys" goes for the hunted parts, and the wanna be "Boba Fetts" goes for the hunter role.

You could even have the paths lending you a hand in either persuing the hunted or evading the hunter. For instance an explorer could search for clues on how to catch the hunted, or look for clues as to where the hunter might be comming from. The settler could build tracking satellites to look for the hunted, and the hunted settler could build decoys to divert the hunter (because he wants to stay alive as long as he can remember! see the above) The warrior could look for signs in the wilderness towards finding the hunted. Heck he could even get clues from slaying stuff in the world. And so forth!

In total I would totally dig a Bounty system such as this! I hoped SWTOR would have implemented something like that since hell SWG had it, and it was with out a doubt the most epic thing to particiapate in! The thrill of the hunt/beign chased cannot be emulated by no AI in the world.

I like these ideas and have had some similar thoughts over the years. I think the key is to make a system that avoids grieving and player exploits.

+ I like the idea of a player bounty mission terminal that people could consensually opt into.
This system would choose players within the system randomly and award some form of positive or negative reputation based on success. This will hinder buddy system exploits.
+ This system would randomly select the role of hunter or hunted.
+ This system would be time based.
+ The hunter would use some form us updating tracking droid (like SWG), that gives general location, but not pinpoint location.
+ The hunted would also have some sort of world objective to complete so as not to just sit on fleet or somewhere safe until the timer runs out.
+ There could even be team missions mode maybe some sort of player escort with two to four players on each side. Four hunters on one side and a target with three body guards on the hunted side.
+ More rep for group missions.
+ I would make the rewards very cool skins for gear, weapons, mounts also titles.
+ Since it's opt in this system would also work on pve servers.
