That Jenslinger line was great lol

The language filter looks like fun wonder if it can be decoded.

I am not a arena person prefer the objective based maps but I would try it out.

Might play it when waiting to do a warplot :p

Been waiting on this one bit of info for a while now.

Great to see they have realistic goals, hopefully they're able to keep it that way.

Anyone notice the shirtless Granok (this is one of the new screenshots)?

Nice to see that with the wardrobe system (or whatever WildStar will call it) we can go shirtless in PvP.

Thank you... for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what that was in the background. Assumed it was an Aurin because of the tail but was thrown off since he or she is green-skinned.

When you promote arena...one things need to be done is have the rating system in at launch. Don't promise it a month or 2 later, you will lose all your hardcore teams (example : SWTOR & GW2). I honestly don't really care about pvp in general, but good for the pvpers who like Arena. Hopefully they get what they need and not just promises.

That one shot is zoomed out so far it looks like a top-down ARPG. I guess that will be a very helpful view when dealing with telegraphs.

well, they've said that Arenas are ELO rated (and battlegrounds have their own rating, and warplots have their own rating)

Like bioware also said the battleground would be rated. Took them like 4-5 months before they actually came. It's easy for them to say things and then few months later go : Oh that's for the future!. Then again, from just reading this, Carbine seem to know what they need at launch and later down the line. How often in games are things promised and not delivered. But I'll believe in them.

I'm so happy that Wildstar has the balls to put Arena's into their game. Most developers chicken out because they don't want to tackle the challenge of balancing them. Adding arenas adds a lot of PvP content to the game. I've played thousands and thousands of arena games in WoW on the same 4 maps and it's still fairly fun. (The only reason to play WoW at all anymore)

Big thumbs up to Carbine! Screw the arena haters!

Honestly arenas are not that big a deal to me. I was on a couple of teams during my WoW days but I always liked the bigger battlegounds like AV or city raids much more. Arenas felt too "cramped," to me.

Really excited for this I love all aspects of pvp and respawns are a great idea for arenas, but I was particularly interested in this quote..

Spectator mode!? I currently play SWToR and when they first annouced Huttball as kind of an e-sport twist to pvp I had this idea where they could stream matches to ingame big screen monitors strategically placed in social hubs like cantinas in an effort to facilitate social interaction.

Imagine an ingame currency betting mechanic attached to this.
    Could be a cool minigame.

Would anyone be interested in a concept like this in WildStar?

Im not a big fan of PVP but I have been known to partake in occasional 6 hour 'thousand ways to die' sessions in Team Fortress 2 every now and then. This looks just right for my intended PVP interaction when the mood takes me. Maybe invite some Disney Executives in too  Im sure at this rate they will be well received :roflamo:

hehe.. yeah I've been reading rage posts all day from multiple forums from disgrunteled gamers aimed at Disney for putting the kabosh on LucasArts and particularly Star Wars 1313.
