Besides WildStar which games are you looking forward to playing in 2013?

For me; South Park, Ni No Kuni, Total War: Rome 2, and Dragon Age 3 are games I'm really excited about.

Most anticipated: wild star , and star wars 1313.
Also want to check out tomb raider and fortnite.
Most probably will get SC2:HotS kind of excited about playing as a zerg in campaign.

Edit: I'll add Defiance and Marvel Heroes to the list as well

Besides Wildstar, the only one I am interested in for 2013 is SimCity. The new design looks awesome to me so I am going to try that out.

Oh.. I'm looking forward to SimCity as well. When is TESO set to release? I'd also like to find a new co-op RPG or two to play with my husband. Wildstar really is the only game I'm expecting to invest much time in (provided it releases this year as expected), and I'll probably stick with Rift until then.

My problem with SimCity is they said it will be social, but how social? will random people come and destroy my city?

I want it to be like simcity 2000. It only gets destoryed when I get bored of it. By an a monster or a nuclear meltdown :p

Wildstar and the game that has so far not be announced which is more awesome...

Would be happy about Doom 4, if it is ever going to happen and is even moderately successful to re-capture the "feel" of the original games (not the failure Doom 3 was) with some adequate modernisation of graphics (not gameplay, because you can't beat the gameplay of Doom, as you can't beat Buddy Holly, Elvis the Pelvis and their Bro's in Rock'n'Roll)

Ni no Kuni (even though I probably won't play it until way later in the year), Legend of Dungeon, The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls are the ones I can think of right now.

    In no particular order:

Simcity, Archeage, Rome Total War 2, Heart of the Swarm, Day Z standalone, Planetary Annihilation, Company of Heroes 2, Destiny,

    By the way @ObliviousPrime

Basically the way the social aspect of simcity works is that your city has certain boundaries, or inhabits a certain confined region as you would expect if you've played simcity games before. Traditionally the outsides of these reigons/city areas couldn't be built on so your city was just surrounded by grass or whatever other terrain.

In the new simcity, you once again have your region or boundaries but now there can be multiple cities within each region. Basically you have a quite large region and in it are maybe 4-5 city squares. You take one of them for your city and you can invite your friends to take others so you are simultaneously building 4 or 5 cities, one belonging to each of your friends. You can trade with eachother, things like power can be exchanged. The police or firemen from one city can help another that lacks either of the two. Similarly crime and other negative things like polution can spread from city to city. If your buddy makes a coal power plant eventually some of that pollution will come to you, or if someone makes a gambling city with high crime but he neglects his police force, that crime will spread to your city.

So there are cooperative aspects to it but your friends can also be a nuisance. I personally think this is a good thing. It's kind of <REDACTED> to mess with your friends by maybe having a really nice casino city with a small police force and being able to kind of mess with your friends when the crime leaks out.

Additionally you will be able to work with friends on things called great works that occupy tiles in your region the same way a city does. What these great works are hasn't been announced yet but it should be cool whatever it is.

I imagine you can invite random people if you dont want to play with friends, but random people can't just join your region and destroy what you've built.

Disasters are in the game but I'm fairly certain that you will be able to disable them in your region or at least make it so that your friends cant just meteor shower your city to piss you off.

    Thanks for the explanation :D

Its good that I can make my area not totally public just accessible to friends. If they annoy you at least you know how to contact them :p

That is good news about the natural disasters because I know my sister and I love using them after we get bored with our cities. It would be awkward if it spreads to other cities .

No order, looking forward to Wildstar (at least Beta ;3) and Pokemon XY. I think there was something else, but I just can't seem to remember it right now.

Oh, and I'll toss Fighting is Magic in there as well, even though it's a fan-game. >.>
